Let's experience today the solutions of tomorrow

Eximia alongside SAP and Impinj for the realization of a Demo Center dedicated to the integration of technologies for the world of manufacturing and retail.

The Demo Center will allow visitors to touch the solutions for the automatic identification of assets and products based on RFID technologies and data integration with SAP ERP systems.

The initiative, promoted by SAP, undisputed market leader for departmental and ERP systems, involves Impinj, one of the world leaders in the production of RFID technologies. Eximia contributes with its track and trace solutions based on RFID and a consolidated experience in digital transformation projects dedicated to the world of logistics, manufacturing and retail.

The Demo Center will demonstrate the exit/entry phases of goods and work in progress through Eximia’s WIP (Work in Progress) solution in the industrial environment, which will include functions for locating products in a display structure, such as a point of sale.

From the technological point of view, the infrastructure will be realized exclusively on passive RFID on UHF standard with Impinj xArray reader in “direction” mode for the “entry/exit” phases, fixed Impinj reader plus 4 antennas for the WIP and Impinj xArray reader in “location” mode for the store.

The software part involves Eximia Middleware for data interchange with ItemSense platform by Impinj, which controls the configuration of devices and their integration on SAP ERP systems.

5G experimentation with Fastweb, Isotta Fraschini and Eximia.

Fastweb and Isotta Fraschini, within the 5G experimentation, are developing innovative applications dedicated to Industry 4.0. Eximia takes care of the technical aspects for the interfacing between RFID and 5G.

Eximia has realized, in collaboration with Fastweb and Isotta Fraschini, a RFID structure for the real-time detection of devices inside the production plant and the automation of the process of loading and unloading goods from the warehouse.

The system will contribute to make leaner and more efficient the production processes inside Isotta Fraschini Motori plants, with important competitive and economic advantages.

In fact, the management of the traceability of available goods and their location within the factory or warehouse allows a reduction in the expense incurred for spare parts and optimizes workflows by improving inventory activities.

Massive, accurate and fast inventories through professional drones and RFID readers.

Eximia, in collaboration with General Expert, also a Gruppo Filippetti company operating in the world of mobility and insurtech, are conducting an experiment that sees the use of professional drones and RFID readers to simplify and speed up inventory operations in the automotive world.

This market is characterized by large yards where new cars waiting to be shipped to dealerships are placed. Thousands of vehicles that are moved frequently present a real challenge for logistics professionals. With the help of a Drone (equipped with a special RFID reader) and RFID tags placed inside the vehicles, it was possible to detect and identify accurately and quickly all the vehicles on the yard, providing the logistics staff with reliable information on the position of each vehicle. The survey was conducted at a Peugeot plant in France. Eximia and General Expert are further refining the technological aspects of this experiment that will soon become a catalog service.
